Summer Love…
September 1st?! Where has the summer gone? I’m excited for fall, but summer was way to quick. I have heaps of weddings to blog, but for now just one… introducing Breanne & Josh.
Tina + Eric- Vancouver Engagement
This summer has been sunny! (For Oregon and Washington that can be surprising). I had so much getting to know Tina and Eric and photographing their engagement pictures in the yummy summer sun!
Paris, France
Finally getting to post some travel pictures from our time in Paris when we were there in June for Jessica & Henry’s wedding. Paris is one of those cities I don’t think I could ever get tired of visiting. There is always something new to see or do. We were excited to see some new places this visit that we didn’t have a chance to see last September.
Arc de Triomphe
To.die.for. bread and pastries from Poilane
Notre Dame Cathedral, beautiful inside and out.
I didn’t realize this at the time, but the hotel in the picture on the bottom left is the hotel that was used for the movie Midnight in Paris – Hotel Le Bristol
We made the trip to Laduree, not once, but twice. The line to order and the walk to the shop were worth it. Best macaroons ever.
Wine caves in Reims, the Champagne region of France.
The Lourve at Night.
Back to work… can’t wait to visit France again.
Brussels, Belgium – Daniela + Erik
Ben and I met Daniela and Erik last September when we were in Florence, Italy. We’ve stayed in touch since, and when we mentioned we would be traveling back to Europe we were able to connect and photograph their day after session for their one year anniversary in Brussels, Belgium. Daniela and Erik’s are so fun together. We had a blast walking around Brussels, visiting the Grand Place and eating lots of chocolate! This shoot was also featured on Destination Inspirations. Enjoy!

- Oh my goodness I absolutely love this photo shoot! These photos are gorgeous. My personal favourite is the top left one of the Old England building and then the one directly beneath it. Just wanted to let you know I think you've done a beautiful job :) xoxo Chamonix Plum Bumble PhotographyAugust 26, 2011 - 5:03 am

Paris Destination Wedding / Jessica + Henry / Paris, France
This lovely wedding truly touched the hearts of everyone who was there to celebrate. Jessica and Henry started the celebration in Paris, France a week prior with 27 of their family and friends. The week came to an end with the sharing of vows followed by a full day celebration. Please believe me when I saw, I have no idea where to begin writing about this fantastic wedding. The day began early with the gents getting ready in one apartment, the girls in another. They rode separately to the Montebello Yacht, which they had reserved for their ceremony and a cocktail hour that immediately followed. If it wasn’t for the photos, I would think the day had been a dream. From the toasts, to the dancing, laughter, there are so many memories I know their family and friends will cherish forever.

The view from the boat before leaving the dock on the Seine River. Jessica and Henry couldn’t have picked a better day or location to get married, the view down the river is incredible.

Immediately following the ceremony they had a cocktail reception as the yacht made its way up and down the river. Family and friends could not have been happier for these two.
A tradition in Paris is to attach a lock with your name inscribed and the date, attach it to a bridge and toss the key in the river to symbolize everlasting love. Jessica and Henry gave everyone a lock so they could partake in the tradition.
A dinner reception was held at Café de la Paix which is located right next to the beautiful Paris Opera House.
They opted to have a Croquembouche (traditional French wedding cake) shaped like the Eiffel Tower.
The party ended at a nearby pub, Footsie where they continued to dance the night away.
Phew, I know this was a long post! What is your favorite image? I had too many…
Congratulations to the Mr. and Mrs.!
- Annelie, Your photographs of this special family event really captured the beauty and joy...not to mention the very lovely group of friends and family attending. Thanks again for the beautiful photos! They are an inspiration ~~July 28, 2011 - 8:55 am
- Her dress is just so pretty! I do wonder how you were able to shoot on a moving vessel down the river, though. I'd probably trip and drop the camera overboard or something. haha! Thanks for sharing these photos! I definitely still want to visit Paris, too!July 22, 2011 - 11:43 am
